Cabin Fever is turning 10 this year and this year’s program is looking like their most decadent and delicious yet. With 40+ events spanning the region, Dunsborough to Margaret River to Witchcliffe, it’s going to be ten days of long dinners, excellent wine, live music and the kind of raucous events that remind you why you live down south. Here are our picks of the events that haven’t sold out – yet.

Food Truck Frenzy

Friday 17 July – Sunday 19 July | Saltwater Busselton | Free entry | 6pm – 9pm

Kick off Cabin Fever the easy way – no bookings, no fuss, just your favourite south west food vans rolled up for one big, beautiful frenzy. It’s a chance to check out Saltwater, too – Busselton’s much-anticipated performing arts centre. The bar will be open, there’ll be live music under the cosy cover of The Cabin, and you can graze your way through the best sweet and savoury fare on wheels. It’s free entry, all ages are welcome, and it’s the perfect low-key way to ease into the festival. Bring the kids, grab a beer, and let dinner come to you.

Night at the Opera

Friday 24 July | Domaine Naturaliste | $205+BF | 6pm – 9:30pm

Two of our absolute favourites – Domaine Naturaliste and Tiller Dining – have come together for what sounds like a genuinely stunning evening. Four courses of fine dining, paired with museum wines from Domaine’s award-winning Wilyabrup cellar, while Perth Opera Voices perform live in the elegant cellar door overlooking the vines. We love Bruce Dukes’ wines and we love what George does with food. Together, with opera? We’re in. Tickets are $205+BF and this one will sell out, so don’t sit on it.

The Ruby Reserve at Howard Park Wines

Sunday 26 July | Howard Park | $80+BF | 2pm – 4pm

Howard Park is celebrating 40 years of winemaking this year – and to mark it, they’re opening the cellar and sharing a guided tasting of their rare museum collection inside the beautiful wine chapel. Sommelier Cyndal Petty leads the tasting, walking you through the origin stories behind each aged red, with shared cheese and charcuterie boards from Gourmet Food Merchant alongside. There’s also an exclusive opportunity to purchase bottles on the day, depending on availability. Saturday’s session has already sold out, so get in quick for Sunday. These wines simply aren’t available anywhere else.

Lady Lola’s Greatest Hits

Saturday 18 July | Lady Lola | $250+BF | 6pm – 9:30pm

Lady Lola is celebrating five years in Dunsborough with a one-night-only greatest hits dinner, and we couldn’t be more excited for them. Chef Michelle Forbes (The Ritz-Carlton Sydney, Rockpool) is serving up all the dishes and pours that have earned this local spot its cult following – a five-course share-style dinner leaning into European bistro roots and South West seasonal produce, with a wine list curated by sommelier Marinela Antonic. It’s the kind of dinner you talk about for weeks.

Forage & Ferment at Wayfinder

Saturday 18 & 25 July | Wayfinder Wine Bar & Restaurant | $80+BF | 3pm – 5pm

This one’s a bit different and we love it for that. Head to Wayfinder’s market garden for a laid-back garden-to-glass session led by Head Market Gardener Amy Dyson – think seasonal growing tips, a hands-on pickling demo, and a jar of freshly pickled vegetables to take home. Then, the Wayfinder winemaking team and chef Felipe Montiel pour low-intervention wines with antipasti pairings, bringing their regenerative, off-grid philosophy all the way from the garden bed to your glass. Running across two Saturdays, it’s relaxed, earthy, and genuinely interesting.

Italo Disco Supper Club

Saturday 18 July | Piccolo at South Camp | $120+BF | 5:30pm – 9:30pm

Three courses of Italy, each dish taking in a different Italian province, perfectly matched with a Credaro icon – Piccolo’s head chef and Credaro’s chief winemaker walk you through every dish and every drop. Then, when dinner wraps, an Italian DJ takes over and it turns into a full-tilt Euro-house disco. A glass of sparkling on arrival, matched wines throughout, and a late night on the dance floor. Come hungry. Stay late.

Head to cabinfeverfest.com.au to browse the full program and snap up your tickets – some events have already sold out and July will be here before we know it.
